About Prairie Psychology Collective

Our Story

Prairie Psychology Collective was established by four Calgary psychologists who sought to provide clients with exceptional services. By combining our individual practices—Bluebird Psychology, Calgary Psych Services, Embark Psychology, and Launch Psychology—we have created a robust and collaborative clinic.

Our mission is to serve the community with an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and supported in their journey to well-being.

We also recognize that there can be significant financial barriers in accessing mental health services in Alberta and we are committed to providing pro bono services and affordable assessments to families in need through our Bright Futures Program.

Who Makes Up Prairie Psychology Collective?

Our team is made up of child psychologists with unique specializations to help meet the different needs of families in Alberta. We also have an Orton Gillingham tutor to help children develop reading skills.

We are always looking for professionals who would be a good fit for our collective. If you have a suggestion for a service, or are a professional interested in joining the collective, please let us know here!

How is Prairie Psychology Collective helping to support the local community?

There can be barriers to accessing mental health services in Alberta, including cost. Mental health services are not currently covered under Alberta Health Services, and the cost of counselling and assessments can present challenges for families who do not have private insurance.

One of Prairie Psychology Collective's goals is to provide quality, research-proven methods of helping families. We also strive to reduce the financial barrier for those families who are in need by offering low-fee and no-fee services through our Bright Futures Program. Highly experienced psychologists supervise all students and offer a range of mental health services, including counselling services and assessments.

What makes Prairie Psychology Collective different from other Psychology Clinics?

In our Collective we believe in recognizing the inherent strengths in each other and in our clients. We work with you to identify these areas and to support skills that have yet to develop.

We work collaboratively, and if there is any reason you feel that we are not the right fit for your family, we are happy to refer you to one of our collective members!
